Welcome to the The Blackmore Vale Partnership

The doctors and staff welcome patients old and new to our practice and our website.  We are a professional and friendly team caring for approximately 24000 patients in Shaftesbury, Fontmell Magna, Sturminster Newton, Marnhull and the surrounding villages. We run a comprehensive health promotion and disease management service. This includes advice on asthma, diabetes, heart and blood vessel disorders, HRT, contraception and child health to name a few.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Our practice manager is Jane Dawes, there is also a full complement of support staff, including an integrated nursing team consisting of the District nurses, Health Visitors and practice nurses. See full details on our Practice Staff page

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Access & Parking

The surgeries have been designed to provide easy access for people in wheelchairs. If any help is required please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff. Toilets for disabled patients are available. There is adequate public car parking adjacent to the medical centres. Reserved disabled spaces are available at the main entrances.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
